Precise hammer blows create <strong>indentations that shape the desired design<\/strong>, making this method popular in jewelry making, leather decoration, and metal art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"828\">However, <strong>traditional stamping (also &#8220;Marking&#8221; or &#8220;Hallmarking&#8221;)<\/strong> can be challenging for beginners due to the risk of <strong>slipping<\/strong>. In this tutorial, I introduce an <strong>alternative method<\/strong>: commercially available <strong>punches are modified<\/strong> so that the embossed pattern stands 5 mm high.
